Hi all,

We will have gradings for 5th and 6th Kyus on Wed 15th June. Glen Davison 4th Dan will be our guest instructor for the grading night.

Sensai Maruyama 

This year the Oct camp will be on 1/10 to 3/10 and Joe from Japan will also be travelling with Sensei. These camps consist of  3 days of inspirational training with Sensai and all the senior most Australian Kokikai instructors. The camp is a great way to develop and take the next step forward. Check out photos of last years camp in our photo gallery.

Remember we are coming into a new financial year please start putting asside your yearly Kokikai membershio fees. These are $70 for adults and $35 for juniors (under age 16). The membership coversrunning costs for Kokikai Australia including insurance and bringing Sensei Maruyama to Australia in Spring. Membership will be due on 1/7/2011.

Aikido is a contemporary Japanese martial art. Aikido techniques are defensive only. The techiques emphasise harmonising with the attackers force and then redirecting the force to take control of the situation.

Kokikai Aikido, Lismore Dojo is a branch of Aikido Kokikai Austraila, which in turn belongs to a very large international

Aikido Kokikai family. Ian Newton is the Dojo Leader, ably assisted by Mejan Hillier, Tzaddi Degan and Dave Parker.The Lismore Dojo is the first regional Kokikai Aikido Dojo in Australia, and has been established in Lismore for over 18 years.

Classes times are 5:30pm to 7:30pm Wednesday and Friday at the Lismore PCYC– Cnr Dawson & Orion Sts Lismore (see map). Please arrive at 5:30 to change and sweep dojo for a 5:45 pm bow in.
 

Aikido Kokikai primarilary offers an opportunity for us to develop our innate potential. Kokikai Aikido is practiced with a co-operative attitude, as we realize that we are each helping each other to improve ourselves.

We extend a cordial welcome and invitation to all martial artists and in particular aikido practitioners who have trained in other styles to come and train at the Lismore dojo.

Aikido Kokikai is far more than a self defence, it’s benefits are carried into and help us every day.
